some of us live – only to die
others die – only to live

self-denial is merely tautology
like running around an endless ring
not knowing when you will end
and forgetting where to begin

to self deny
is to delude oneself of existence
death and life straddle a great divide
the gap of which is too vast to stride

moderation they say
seems the only way
but when is too much
or too little…
…who can say?

wiping your bum and then dipping your hands in the water to drink
if it doesn’t make you sick
pray it does make you think

time is merely an illusion which we create perpetually
there is no tick nor tock
merely the sounds we think we need to hear

what is life? – such a beautiful question, why ruin it with an answer?
